Quincy Mae Knotted Baby Gown + Hat in Oatmeal — modal cotton, knotted bottom for diaper changes in the dark, matching knot hat included. The gown for the first morning home, and the morning after.

Milk & Honey Babies Organic Egyptian Cotton Burp Cloths, Set of Two — GOTS-certified, cut and finished in our studio. The two cloths kept on every shoulder for the first eighteen months.

Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown — board book edition. The first read-aloud, kept on the bedside through every nap and every bedtime for the first three years.

WHY WE BUILT IT

The First Note is the bundle we built for the gift sent first — by the friend who heard the news early, by the coworker who is also chipping in on the larger registry, by the gifter who would rather send something small and considered than something larger and forgettable. Three pieces, no filler, each one chosen because it is the kind of object a new mother keeps. Sized to send by itself, or alongside something larger.

SIZING AND SELECTION

The Quincy Mae gown is one size, with the matching knot hat included. The Oatmeal colorway is chosen rather than selectable because the soft-neutral palette is what makes the bundle work as a gender-neutral gift. The Milk & Honey Babies burp cloths are GOTS-certified organic Egyptian cotton, set of two. The Goodnight Moon edition is the board book, sized for early hands.
