Rancé is a French perfume house that dates its founding to 1795. These are triple-milled on a vegetable base and pressed in the house's own engraved molds.
Hélène is the brighter of the two: lemon, currant and pear at the top, peach flower, magnolia, jasmine, neroli and pink pepper through the middle, and amber, tonka bean and musk underneath.
It's the kind of thing she'd never buy herself and would use every day, which is most of what we're looking for.
